Chapter 01What brings companies to me

Turning partnership potential into pipeline, revenue, and market expansion.

Strong partnerships can create new revenue, open markets, and accelerate growth, but only when the right strategy, operating model, and execution are in place. I help companies turn partnership potential into a more focused, scalable growth engine.

01

The program isn’t producing revenue

Partners are signed and activity is happening, but there’s little measurable partner-sourced pipeline, revenue, or ROI.

02

There’s no clear partnership strategy

The team hasn’t defined which partners matter, how to prioritize them, or what role partnerships should play in the company’s growth strategy.

03

Partnerships are nobody’s full-time job

A founder, sales leader, or other executive is managing partnerships on the side, leaving strategy, activation, and follow-through inconsistent.

04

Growth has stalled

The program has plateaued, key partners are underperforming, or relationships that once drove results are losing momentum.

05

Leadership can’t see what’s working

Attribution, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting are missing or unreliable, making it difficult to know where to invest, where to fix, and where to walk away.

06

The company needs to build, or rebuild, the engine

The business needs new partner channels, stronger reseller, ISV, and SI relationships, or a more disciplined operating model, and needs senior partnership leadership to build it.

Chapter 02Capabilities

From strategy to scale, I build, fix, and monetize partnership programs.

Whether a company is launching partnerships for the first time, trying to unlock more value from an existing ecosystem, or fixing a program that has stalled, I can step in across the full partnership lifecycle.

Chapter 03Track record

Four programs, four different starting points.

Each of these was a different kind of problem: a turnaround, a build from zero, a Board level strategy question, and a net-new function inside a large organization.

30%overall year-over-year program growth
A Tax Resolution & Financial Services CompanyProgram Turnaround

Situation

The company’s top revenue producing partner relationship had declined sharply year over year, and the broader program had no clear way to prioritize where to invest.

What I did

Ran a 30-day SWOT, built a segmentation model, and concentrated incentives and enablement on the highest value opportunities. Built partner scorecards and an executive dashboard.

Result

Reversed the largest partner relationship from decline to 33% positive growth, and lifted lead-to-revenue conversion to 43%, both contributing to the 30% overall program growth above.

Clear CapitalFintech SaaS for mortgage and proptech

Situation

The company had 30+ existing reseller, referral, and technology relationships worth $200M, but no structured program to activate them or recruit new partners.

What I did

Built the partner program from the ground up, managed and activated the existing $200M portfolio, recruited and onboarded new reseller and referral partners, and owned the executive relationship with CGI, a global systems integrator, through a custom API integration.

Result

Increased partner revenue 200–300% among new resellers in year one, and opened a new monetized revenue channel through the CGI integration.

Situation

The platform had 200+ partner integrations, but only one was producing revenue, and its President and Board needed a clear partnership strategy.

What I did

Renegotiated commercial agreements with tier-one partners to align incentives on both sides, architected the company’s first payments monetization strategy, and led a joint go-to-market and cloud migration initiative with Microsoft and Amazon for 1,300 customers.

Result

Increased partner program profitability 150% and monetized payments processing, opening a new revenue channel for the platform.

63%partner-sourced revenue growth, following 50% the year before
CoreLogicData and risk platform, proptech/fintech

Situation

A newly created channel partner role, built around prior performance, needed to establish a partner program from scratch inside a large, established organization.

What I did

Built the Channel Partner Activation Program covering recruiting, onboarding, launch, and co-selling with sales and customer success, and identified RentTrack as an early first-mover partnership opportunity.

Result

Grew partner sourced revenue in consecutive years, and launched a new product capability and revenue line through the RentTrack partnership.

Chapter 04Best fit

Where this works best.

This works best where partnerships are meant to be a growth engine, not a side project. One quick way to tell: the industries, the situations, and the partner models below.

Industries

  • Fintech & mortgage technology
  • Proptech & real estate data
  • Payments
  • Enterprise SaaS & data infrastructure

Additional industry experience: tax resolution & financial services, higher education, hospitality, and logistics & transportation.

Company Situations

  • B2B technology companies building a partner ecosystem for the first time
  • PE and VC backed portfolio companies
  • Companies entering a new vertical without an established partner playbook
  • Companies formalizing a channel strategy as they scale

Partner Models

  • Referral
  • Reseller
  • ISV
  • OEM
  • Embedded / API
  • Systems Integrator / GSI
  • Strategic Alliances
  • Co-sell
  • Marketplace

Portrait of Rhonda Johnson

I’ve built and rebuilt partner programs at a Vista Equity portfolio company, a mortgage fintech, a data and risk platform, and a tax resolution firm, entering each without prior vertical experience and leaving measurable results behind.

Chapter 06Start the conversation

Let’s talk about what your partnerships could be producing.

Most conversations start with a specific problem: a stalled channel, a program with no visibility, or a Board asking whether to build or partner. Bring that problem, and we’ll work out whether fractional leadership is the right next step.
